Google Reviews
Why we have reviews removed from Google
Google explicitly points this out in its reviews: "Reviews are not verified." At the same time, Google explains that while reviews are not checked for content, Google specifically searches for fake or policy-violating content and removes it if necessary.
For us as business owners, this approach is problematic. Because if an evaluation is demonstrably false, does not concern our company, our services or our employeesIn our view, it must be possible to have such a review checked and, if necessary, removed.
A specific example concerns our location at Magic Flowers GmbHOur sales area is simultaneously operated by a German Post/DHL agency This post office agency is an independent contractual partner of Deutsche Post and DHL and has a own Google business listing.
Nevertheless, reviews of the services provided by Deutsche Post or DHL have repeatedly been mistakenly published. under the Google business listing of Magic Flowers GmbH Published. These reviews therefore do not refer to our floristry services or to our company.
We contacted some of the authors directly and asked them to attribute their reviews to the correct company or Google business listing. Unfortunately, these reviews were not removed despite our notification.
Since, in our understanding, Google does not conduct sufficient content review of such reports, we ultimately felt compelled to remove the relevant reviews. to report via the removal options provided by Google.
We would like to explicitly clarify: Our aim is not to prevent critical or negative reviews. Any objectively justified evaluation of our services will of course remain valid – even if it is negative.
However, it cannot be in the interest of a fair evaluation system for a company to be evaluated for its performance, which it did not deliver at all, and such a review subsequently appears permanently under the wrong company despite corresponding warnings.
We therefore expect Google to handle such cases in a transparent and reliable manner. In our view, anyone providing a public rating system should also ensure that ratings are properly managed. can be attributed to the company actually being evaluated and reviews that are obviously incorrectly assigned will be reviewed after being reported.
Our aim is therefore not to remove negative reviews – but to correctly and fairly assign reviews.
